The King Was Sick

The King Was Sick is a narrative-based side-scrolling puzzle game in which players control five different characters to reach a common goal. The game saves each character’s actions and replays them as the user picks a different character. The story thus evolves in different ways and player choices open up new interactions between game characters.

  • Prepared and presented original concept pitch.
  • Built a team and reiterated project scope to match final team setup.
  • Laid out and maintained production schedules.
  • Warranted adequate delegation of production tasks between project members.
  • Ensured that production runs on schedule by successfully identifying, analyzing and resolving bottlenecks beforehand.
  • Developed game mechanics and story flow.
  • Created mood boards and assisted with concept art to create a coherent art style.
